Reporting Animal Bites
All animal bites from household pet or wild animals should be reported to the Animal Control Service Division at 972-218-1200 or 972-218-1210. The animal services officers will record all incidents of animal bites in the city. It is important to know which animal caused the bite because it must be quarantined for observation.
Animal Quarantine
The fee for quarantine of an animal housed at the shelter is $15 per day. All animals housed and quarantined are required to be kept for 10 days.
