An alumna of the University of North Texas, Dori holds a bachelor’s degree in applied arts and sciences and a teaching certificate in secondary business education. Her profound knowledge and skills in human resources management have been pivotal in her professional journey.
Prior to her current position, Dori served as the Human Resource Director for the City of Lancaster for 20 years. Her tenure was marked by significant contributions, including the establishment of Lancaster University in 2017. This innovative initiative focuses on the professional development, leadership, and customer service training of city employees. Dori’s forward-thinking approach also led to the creation of the Lancaster safety program and a collaborative leadership academy with Dallas College. Recognized for her expertise, she has been a featured speaker at various prestigious events, including those hosted by the Texas Municipal Retirement Association, Government Finance Officers Association of Texas, and Texas City Management Association.
In June 2023, Dori ascended to the role of Assistant City Manager, reflecting her comprehensive experience and leadership capabilities. Dori is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), an International Public Management Association for HR Certified Professional (IPMA-CP) and holds a Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation.
