Does the Fire Department offer free smoke detectors?

*The program has returned but with limited supplies*

The City of Lancaster Fire Department and the American Red Cross have teamed up to provide FREE smoke detectors to Lancaster residents who are in need and for those with disabilities (supplies are limited). Lancaster residents must call the Fire Department to request installation. In some cases, you’ll be placed on a waiting list and contacted on a later date for your appointment. Please call (972) 218-2600 to request your smoke detectors or if you have any questions.
