The City Secretary's Office provides information to the public in accordance with the City Charter and Texas State Law (Public Information Act). The public’s right-to-know is vital to an accountable, citizen-centered government.

To submit an Open Records Request online, please select the appropriate link below. Initially you will be asked to create in online account. This it to ensure that your request is submitted immediately and that staff have all the necessary information to process your request and follow up with you in a timely manner. By utilizing your log in credentials, you will also have the ability to log into your account to view the status of your request at any time.

If you prefer you can Download a printable (PDF) Open Records Request. Then simply fill out and email the downloaded Open Request form to citysecretary@lancaster-tx.com or fax it to 972-218-1399. You may also bring the form to City Hall or mail to the City of Lancaster, City Hall at 211 North Henry Street, Lancaster, Texas 75146.
