Facility Information


The Grand Hall is located inside of the Lancaster Recreation Center. The facility can be divided into 3, equally-sized rooms and can be rented in various configurations. Tables and chairs are included (see chart below). There is an additional fee if the renter desires to have the room set up in advance. A full catering kitchen is also available, at an additional fee. The kitchen includes freezer, refrigerator, oven/stove top, microwave, warming oven, ice machine and sinks.

Facility Information

The Senior Life Center Banquet Hall is a 2,600 sq. ft. facility with a built-in stage and full catering kitchen. The kitchen is not included in the rental fee for the facility. The kitchen contains freezer, refrigerator, oven/stove top, microwave, warming oven, ice machine and sinks. Tables and chairs are included (see chart below). Set-up is not provided at this facility.

Facility Information

The Community House is a 1,610 sq. ft. stand alone banquet facility. This historic facility is located just behind Town Square in the heart of the city. The kitchen is included in the rental fee for the facility, and contains refrigerator with freezer, oven/stove top, and sinks. Tables and chairs are included (see chart below). Set-up is not provided at this facility.

Facility Information


The Visitors Center, formerly known as the Interurban Building, has welcomed visitors and businesses to our City for over 100 years. Built in 1911, the Interurban Building was home to the Texas Interurban Railway that ran from Waxahachie through Red Oak, Lancaster, and Dallas to Sherman-Denison until the 1950s. It was also the region’s first electric-powered building and where area residents’ electricity bills were paid for more than 50 years. The Lancaster Visitors Center and State Auxiliary Museum continues in this rich tradition.

In keeping with the history of the City of Lancaster and the Interurban Building, the City of Lancaster State Auxiliary Museum was established by the Texas Legislature in May 2007 and introduced by State Representative Helen Giddings. The Museum showcases the history of the State of Texas and educates patrons on the historical artifacts represented within the exhibits. This premier attraction serves as a unique resource for residents, educators and visitors of Texas alike. The Lancaster Visitors Center and State Auxiliary Museum are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
