A special event permit is required for activities including but not limited to the use of public spaces, such as closing streets, restricting access, hosting large gatherings (50- 100+ people), selling food or merchandise, setting up tents or stages, or using an entire public park. All special events within Lancaster city limits require City approval and the completion of a Special Event Application.
Please read City Ordinance #2024- 11- 54 governing special events before submitting your application. The completed application and permit fee are due 30 days before the event date. A late fee will apply if submitted after this deadline. Application submission does not guarantee approval.
The City of Lancaster will review applications, and you will be contacted regarding approval status. Do not advertise your event until you receive official approval. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
For questions, call 972-218-1360 or email CommunityRelations@lancaster-tx.com.
Describe your event to the best of your ability in as much detail as possible.
