Beginning on Saturday, March 5, 2016 the City of Lancaster Municipal Court will be participating in The Great Texas Warrant Roundup with over 300 other participating law enforcement agencies and courts in Texas. This program is designed to target thousands of outstanding defendants, encouraging them to dispose of their cases voluntarily, within the next two weeks (7th-18th), to avoid arrest. Hundreds of thousands of notices were recently mailed statewide by participating entities.

The Municipal Court will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to accommodate individuals with unresolved warrants. Defendants will be given full opportunity to pay their outstanding fines with Lancaster officials. Anyone who voluntarily appears at the Lancaster Municipal Court to resolve their case(s) will not be arrested.

Defendants may render payment with cash or credit card at the Municipal Court the morning of March 5, 2016. “We look forward to the success of this program and the chance to allow individuals to settle their affairs outside of court”, stated the City Manager, Opal Mauldin-Robertson.

People who believe they may have an outstanding warrant are advised to contact Lancaster Municipal Court staff at (972) 218-1334 or visit their location at 220 W. Main Street. Fines may also be paid online at www.lancaster-tx.com.  Lancaster Marshal’s office has set up a hotline to report individuals with outstanding warrants.  Please call 972-218-1340 or 972-218-1339, your identity will remain anonymous.

Your trash pick up location remains the same. An alley-side pick up for residents with alley and front-side pick up for those without an alley.
