The Lancaster Fire Department is a full-service fire department. We provide fire protection, search and rescue, pre-hospital care, and other services to all City of Lancaster residents and visitors. In 2023, Lancaster Fire Department responded to 8,229 calls. Since the city's inception in the 1900's, it has grown to house 3 fire stations. Current staffing consists of the Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, 5 Battalion Chiefs, 14 Captains, 49 Firefighters and 1 Administrative Secretary.
