Retail Recruitment Firm
The City of Lancaster has hired The Retail Coach, a retail recruitment firm with offices in Tupelo, Mississippi and Austin, Texas, to help recruit retailers, restaurants, and developers to the community.
The Retail Coach’s process begins with determining the retail trade area, or the area where 85% of Lancaster’s consumers are coming from. Using this information, The Retail Coach team will construct a gap analysis to highlight retail categories missing or lacking in the city of Lancaster. The gap analysis, along with demographic reports for the community and retail trade area, help the team construct a list of targeted retailers and restaurants that would be a good fit in Lancaster. On behalf of the City of Lancaster, The Retail Coach will reach out to the retailers, restaurants, and developers.
Other focuses of the partnership include a focus on the revitalization of Lancaster's Historic Town Square, as well as the redevelopment of existing shopping centers in Lancaster.
The Retail Coach will also represent Lancaster at upcoming industry trade shows throughout the country. The first of these events is Retail Live! that will be taking place August 18th in Austin, Texas.
“We are very excited about working with the City of Lancaster. Lancaster is located in a perfect spot to capitalize on the retail growth happening in the DFW Metroplex. This growth, coupled with the traffic counts on Interstate 35 East, makes Lancaster an attractive market for both retailers and developers,” said Aaron Farmer, Senior Vice President for The Retail Coach.

Proper Cart Placement
With our automated service, cart placement is extremely important to guarantee our trucks can access them for pickup on collection days. The mechanical arm on the garbage trucks needs to have clear access to your cart(s). Proper cart placement also ensures your cart(s) are not missed on your scheduled collection day.
Place your garbage and/or recycling in the cart(s) provided to you by Community Waste Disposal (CWD). Trash inside the gray cart and recycle inside the blue cart.
Set out your cart(s) by 7:00 am of your collection day and remove by 8:00 pm on the same day.
Allow 3ft clearance around the cart(s) with handle facing toward your property.
Do not overfill or place things outside of your cart(s). Lid must be closed.
Secure all trash in plastic bags.
If you have an excessive garbage on a continuous basis, you will be required to have an additional cart. Click HERE [http://lancaster-tx.com/1118/Order-Additional-Carts] to view the additional cart fee.

Storm Water Pollution Prevention
•The best way to protect stormwater runoff quality is to avoid polluting in the first place. Conserve and recycle resources such as newspaper, plastic containers, glass jars, and metal cans.
•Practice street sweeping, picking up litter, and disposing of leaves and yard waste.
•Keep grass clippings, leaves, lawn care, automotive and household’s chemicals out of the storm drain system. Participate in local garbage and debris pickup days; recycle household’s hazardous waste materials to prevent storm drain contamination.
•Prevent sewage overflows to the streams by diverting drains away from the sanitary sewer system. Report any overflows to the Wastewater Department at 972-275-1752.
